SFL Scientific is expanding our business development & consulting teams and are seeking highly skilled, creative, and driven business development executives to help develop solutions, expand markets, and lead partnerships.
We are looking for an experienced, high-energy business development and sales professional to help accelerate growth in target verticals. The development executive will report to the Vice President and work closely with SFL Scientific marketing and consulting leadership. This is a highly impactful position, entrusted with the successful delivery of SFL Scientific’s unique value proposition to well-qualified prospects and ecosystem partners.
The ideal candidate has business development and sales experience with a terrific reputation for growing revenue within existing clients as well as penetrating new accounts. This person should be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a targeted business development plan and consistently deliver on revenue targets. The ideal candidate will possess both a business and technical background that enables joint engagements and technical solutions focus with our ecosystem partners, clients, and CXO/senior leadership executive personas. The Business Development Executive should be an exceptionally strong analytical thinker who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and has solid communication and presentation skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Identify prospective clients, gauging profitability and fit for SFL Scientific.
Assist partners and prospective clients in identifying potential use cases, solutions, and ecosystem offerings.
Demonstrate thought leadership in select industries: Healthcare, pharma, manufacturing, and legal.
Conduct a consistent prospect engagement process, including omnichannel contact points, meetings, and presentations.
Develop key account plans for large/complex prospects in target verticals.
Lead pre-sale discovery to ensure a thorough understanding of needs, both stated and unstated.
Assist in the development of proposals, presentations, including pricing strategy.
Work with leadership to conduct annual reviews for key clients, noting opportunities for improvement in service level, predictability and profitability.
Work with SFL Scientific industry partners on joint proposals and scoping to ensure client success.
Maintain active pursuit of the prospect from lead to closing; assist with consultative sales with sophisticated prospects.
Business development activity via data-mining, email outreach, and attendance at conferences and meetups and through partner ecosystems.
Education & Experience:
BA/BS, Masters Preferred
Minimum of five (5) years of successful business development experience in solutions-based, team sales, targeting corporate accounts: Experience in healthcare, life sciences, pharma, manufacturing or insurance.
Experienced selling to senior and C-level executives in targeted industries.
Documented success achieving and exceeding assigned quotas/goals with consultative, solution-based sales methodology.
Strong emphasis on acquiring new clients through leveraging partner networks through providers such as NVIDIA, Cisco, or IBM.
Demonstrated success in a multidisciplinary, deadline-driven, team environment.
Excellent interpersonal communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Fluency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM suites.
Ability to travel to client/partner/event sites as needed (25% travel expected).
A valid driver’s license is required
